Images of my 3-year-old

Seeing all the recent cute baby Sennie images posted here, I decided to share a few of my slightly older (3-year old) Sennie. Here are some recent images I’ve captured of Pepper.

Here is one of Pepper in one of his two favorite morning or evening spots, perched up on my knee. Now if this had been my summer-weight bathrobe you’d see a large hole (about the size of a dinner plate) where Pepper decided to tear all the material.
Though it may appear that Pepper is auditioning for the “butterball” team, he’s simply comfortable and his feathers are very relaxed and fluffed in this image. His weight is actually 138 grams, which is on the low end of weight for males.

Here are two close-ups as he ponders attacking the camera lens.

Pepper loves foot toys. He has mastered this foot toy by either flipping it like a coin or tossing it like a Frisbee. In the second image we had been playing tug-of-war and he wanted to play some more so he was waving the toy to me.

Here’s an image I captured by accident. After playing, Pepper decided it was time for a nap. On the verge of closing his eyes, I captured an image showing his third eyelid, or nictitating membrane, covering most of his eye.

Why simply enjoy a head scritch when Pepper can climb up and be with me. As usual, Pepper uses his beak gently and for good use. Now, if he had been in an aggressive mood I’d be typing this without the use of one finger.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing some images of my feathered little buddy.

He isn't camera shy at all, very photogentic! He's looking very grumpy in that one where he's getting ready to nap
