is this normal

is this natural around the eyes i have these rosella birds a couple of months now there is an odd feather in the cage but they are long feathers it seems like the eye is getting bald or am i wrring too much and it is just moulting i hope you can tell me what the cause is if there is any

I’m not familiar with Rosellas, so I’m not sure if this is normal or not with this species. Since it may be a health issue, you may want to contact your avian vet to see if an examination is needed.

You posted you question in the Poicephalus forum and Rosellas do not belong to this group of parrots. You may get more replies and help by posting your question in either the “Australian Grass Parrots” or “Get Help With Your Bird” forums.

I did reply in help:
Please consult an avian vet. I had a gouldian finch that scraped her skin around her eye in December. She needed a topical antibiotic to heal the scrape where she lost her feathers. I had to move her to a special cage with only rope perches because she kept rubbing it on the wooden ones because it itched when healing.
