Well, I have my baby! And I absolutely adore him! When I went to meet him, he stepped up no problem, and was happy when I scratched his neck. My bf was quite amused that he was able to hold him too. It was pretty cute. He went into the cat carrier no problem (when the lady said it would be a challenge, maybe just because I am a complete stranger and he didn't know if he could challenge me yet??), and now is getting ready for bed, grinding his beak. My other pets were very curious, and the cat looked a little murderous, and even with the move and all that, he still lets me pet him and eats food that I offer him. He won't step up right now, but that will come by the end of the weekend I am sure! I tried to take a picture, but the batteries are dead! So I will see what I can put together tomorrow. We are going to visit the vet in the morning, so that should be interesting. Hopefully all goes well! I am a little concerned, because he had nothing but 3 dishes full of PEANUTS AND SUNFLOWER SEEDS!!! I wonder how long he has been on this diet (this was his 2nd home), and what it has done to his health and his organs. Hopefully this all goes well. He has already eaten the pellets and sprouts that I have offered him, so that is a very good sign to me. Oh, and when I got home, what I had to do first was clean the cage for 2 hours! It was filthy!! Anyway, now he is in a better home, and will be healthy and played with and cared for properly. Oh, no name yet, he hasn't told me yet what it is!

Lefty, i did a little research on the web, i haven't heard back from our breeder yet. one of the articles i read said that capes can begin to breed as early as three years. That does not necessarily mean that Harley is completely mature, i guess, but he must be pretty close. chat with you soon.
