need advice on pellets

Hello all! I am getting my first bird ever, a Meyer's, on Friday! I am looking forward to getting to know you all, and sharing your wisdom and stories!
Now I have a question for anyone who has knowledge on diet: I want to make sure that he gets a good quality pellet to supplement his fresh foods. Can you tell me what is good out there, I don't want any cheap stuff that will only keep him alive. I want something good that he can thrive on, with a minimum of additives, etc. Your thoughts??

Zupreem, they are all fun fashion colors and shapes and they smell like Trix cereal. Be sure to give lots of fresh fruits and veggies! Its fun to cook for your birds, they love it. Just be sure to read up on the do's and dont's. Very important. Absolutely NO sunflower seeds... very very bad!

For over three years my Sennie, Pepper, always has a bowl mixed with Roudybush Daily Maintenance and ZuPreem AvianMaintenance FruitBlend Premium Diet available for him in his cage and on his play gym.
He has great feathers, is in the proper weight range, is very active and receives great reports at his yearly vet examinations. The last two months I’ve added Harrison’s Adult Lifetime Formula Coarse.
Pellets probably make up 30-40 percent of Pepper's daily diet. Seeds would be about 20 percent and the remaining 40-50 percent is fresh or lightly cooked foods.
Because of the closeness of the two species, you may find some information that will be helpful to you at Pepper's Web Site.
Good luck in finding the right diet for your Meyer's.

Wow, thanks guys! And that link that you provided has tons of useful information on it. My little guy will be eating like a king! I asked the lady what she feeds him now, and sunflower seeds and peanuts were right up there, and I was thinking that doesn't sound right ...I'll have to fix that and get him good and healthy. Thanks again, I appreciate the advice!
