Senegal Eye Strange Behavior

I have a three year old DNA'd male that does something that I don't see in my other Senegal and I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. When I talk to him sometimes he slowly closes his eyes kind of like a cat does. Is this because he is soothed? I am so curious about this behavior.

I dunno but behavioralists in the parrot world suggest that if we do this to them it shows contentment and no threat. A threatened bird will NOT close his eyes in your presence. Consider yourself calming??LOL They also say we should "stretch our wings" with them.
Does he stretch his leg and wing as well?

Thanks

Hmmm, I'll have to watch for that. I haven't noticed that the two go together. I sure would like to think that I have a calming effect on him. That would ease my worried little brain.

Our You-You (2 year old male) closes his eyes when his Papi cuddles him or talks sweetly to him. He will then lift one leg up, and eventually start grinding his beak......prelude to sleepy time!
