New baby......

Hi all,

I went to the bird mart yesterday and we came home with a new little family member. She is a red belly. She is so cute and very friendly. She LOVES my daughter and climbs up to her shoulder and cuddles next to her neck. She is only 3 months old and the breeder told me she was semi-tame, but if she is any tamer than what she is right now she will just be a ball of feathered putty! She actually picked us out, especially my 9 year old daughter. Every time my daughter would walk up to the side of the cage this little bird would run over to greet her, it was so cute! :m038: My daughter named her Shilo. Sorry, no pictures yet I was too busy yesterday cleaning up her cage and getting her settled in, hopefully I will get some pics tonight and I can post them tomorrow - HOPEFULLY!

That's great news. It probably makes your daughter feel special too. I can't wait to see the pictures.

Welcom Shilo! Congrats on your new baby. Can you post a picture of her cage when you get a chance? I'm definately interested in seeing what you have. I've had some problems with Butters's cage pinching his toes. I've had to rig it and I still worry about it. Now I've stopped letting him hang out on it, I've only been letting him use his play stand instead. Anyhow, good to meet you Shilo!!!

Right now Shilo is in a temporary cage until I find a new one I like better. The cage I have her in right now is okay, but I want to get her a bigger one. Her cage is 20x20 with 1/2" bar spacing. I was thinking about putting her in my CAG's cage and buying my CAG a new cage because my CAG refuses to use the bottom portion of her cage under the "balcony" The only time she will go down there is to get a drink, because that's where I have her water bottle trying to entice her down there. I don't have any recent pics, but here are some older ones:
