New Senegal Parrot

Hello everyone ! I have just become a member and this is my first post. I have a male Senegal Parrot who is 15 weeks old named "Buddy". Any important suggestions ( diet, behavior, etc ) that I should know about now before he gets older? I want to start him off the right way ! Also, are there any Senegal websites, and is there an online bird store that has free shipping or great items? Thank you so much for all of your help. i will post a picture real soon.

Sennies are wonderful. Zoey loves her fruity Zupreem as well as Ultimate Blend PARADISE ULTIMATE BLEND - BIRD PARADISE BLENDS by Bird Paradise as well as the mash I feed them daily (Mike's mana mas recipe). As well as a mix of bird cookies and sprouts. Another good sight for info is Pepper -- A Senegal Parrot

My 2 Senegals are real interesting. They eat anything, which is supposedly unusual according to what I have read. They are not very needy, although they act it when out of the cage. They play with anything in or around the cages. They never ask (scream)for attention, but once the cages are approached, it is an all out jailbreak. They have to come out just to give them food and water, or they will sit on the dishes so you cannot remove them.
They are both very affectionate towards people only, the are very jealous of and aggressive towards the other parrots (and they are the youngest members of the flock, only 4 mos. when they came home). They acted that way since day one. I thought that was odd since babies that I have been around usually don't show that kind of attitude that early (My Blue Front now acts that way towards other birds, but didn't until about a year old).
Oh, I should mention that they are brother and sister, and I'm not trying to be negative. They are both great birds and very cuddly, inquisitive, and although active, they love to lay on their back in your lap, fall asleep on your shoulder, and sit and watch TV on their playstand.
Also, their base diet is Zupreem fruit blend large parrot, and a rotating seed mix w/ fruit, veggies and some nuts. They eat it all.

I don't have a senegal, but I have a Meyers and Jardines, both from the same African family and they LOVE the Paradise Ultimate Blend that jimpierce7 mentioned. The customer service from the website is excellent and if you live on the east coast (like I do), you get the food within days. If you're close enough or don't mind a drive, you should check out Bird Paradise in person. It is AWESOME! It's about a 4 hour drive for me, but was well worth it. Bring your credit card -- you will find TONS of stuff you just have to have for your birdies!

Thank you for all of your help ! Believe it or not, I purchased my Senegal at Bird Paradise, and he is on their Ultimate Blend, along with fresh fruits and veggies. I also cook up some Asian Medley and he loves it all. Thanks again.
