Cape babies (again!)

Remember in the winter when I hoped for a baby Cape girl and my breeder had 3 boys? Well, her pair laid 3 eggs recently. here is a pic - they are just over a week old.

Hope one is a girl!

I could use some good news. We lost our beloved corgi mix, 15 yo, to heart & kidney disease a week ago.

Enjoy the pic!

There is one breeder near me that has one baby and it just so happens that it's a girl, which is driving me nuts because there is no way I could get that Cape baby right now...and I also want a female.

Sigh.

I do hope for you that one of those three is a little girl :)

I am keeping everything I own crossed for you! Are these Jazz's siblings? or "cousins"?

Jazz is sitting on my shoulder purring :). He has started trilling over and over a purring sound when he is happy. Very odd bird our Jazz.

I am so sorry about the loss of your corgi, I hope you get some good news from Maggie,
I am trying to remember at what age she did the DNA tests, I think it was 3-4 months. Waiting is the worst. Keep us posted

They are Sammy & Sophies babies - so Mr. Jazz's siblings :)

Maggie did the DNA test last time when they were about 4-5 weeks old, after she pulled them from the nest. So not too long.

Also her other pair are also sitting on eggs and she hopes they are fertile this time!!
Give Jazz a kiss for me ;)

Hi; I am a new member and I am interested in getting a cape as I lost my eclectus, Cleopatra, not too long ago. Can you tell me where you live or where your breeder is located as I am in NYC and not too many breeders in my area. Thank you.

I am very nervous about shipping a bird. And, what are the expectations in terms of feeding and handling once the bird arrives. So many questions, but I want to give the bird a good home. Thanks again for any information you can provide.

I am sure that Jazz's mom, Beth, can give you lots of good info. She got Jazz over a year ago - shipped from Maggie and he is doing great!
