3 wet Poicephalus parrots

It was shower time this morning. Shade and Zuri seemed to enjoy it very much. Joey was ok with it. Petey didn't want much to do with it (she's rather use her own water bowl). Piper is also more into baths.

So here are pictures of Shade, Zuri and Joey.

Shade, who didn't want to participate in the taking of pictures and would much rather have kept eating...she's on my hand because I had to take her away from the bowl to get a decent shot. By this time, she had somewhat dried off.

Zuri (who I think is the bird who loves showers the most here) about to shake some water off of herself.

Joey, who always looks funny when wet, more so than the others here.

Thanks for sharing the images of your wet Poi's with us. Your images always have such soft and pleasant lighting on your birds.

I was shooting fully manual.
I was using my 50mm lens and I think I had it set to f/2.4 or f/2.8
I'm pretty sure my ISO was at 800 (it was a cloudy day and I didn't want to have to resort to flash) and I was shooting at around 1/125th of a second.

Can I ask, we just got a new Meyers and my hubby fell in love with a Senegal there, so we put a deposit down... he can't come till he's weaned. How will the Meyers and the Senegal get along? Usually pretty good? Both are babies, the Meyers is 5 months and the Senegal about 2 months, probably 4 months when we bring him home.
