My new Sennie

Hello everyone,
I joined this board a while ago, but kind of forgot about it.

I want to introduce my new Sennie, which I got this week. :)

I've known him for 3 years already, he was dumped 3 years ago
in the local pet store in my town where I used to work.
He "lived" with me for 2 weeks then, he was on a seed diet but I
converted him to Harrissons Bird Foods.
Asked my mother if I could have him (I was like 17 at the time)
but she won't let me buy him.

Now I am 21 and I got in touch with the woman who bought
him 3 years ago and she admitted she couldn't take care of
him anymore. And seeing I live on my own now, I can do whatever
I want. :) She is really happy he is going to live with me, because
she knows I'm crazy about Charlie!

Charlie is around 5 years old and has some behaviour problems, like
biting. (Which the previous owner got scared of.)

But I think of that as a challenge. I have done many different courses
at an avian vet and I have the experience.

I'm really curious of how things will go. I will keep you posted. :)

(Ps: Hmmm, it's maybe better that I "rejoined" this board, my
English is really going downhill! :( - I'm Dutch -So if you don't
understand something or have questions, please do tell!)

My cockatiels, whom I've had for 3 years already are still very happy & healthy! :D

He is gorgeous! Congratulations! I am so happy for you. Keep us posted!

My Meyers used to try to bite me, but patience was key. I did as much as I could on her terms and now this morning I got a little head bobbing :) when I got her out.

Congratulations! Beautiful bird!
The biting issue is really the downside of being a senegal owner.. I'd say that 90% of them do bite at some point in time, be it provoked or just because they can *sigh*
Still they are cute funny birds with personalities larger than the package they come in :)

I wish you lots of luck with Charlie.

I love the look on his face in the image you’ve shared . . . it’s so typical Sennie.
