If she's standing on your hand to eat, you're doing great! I loved the pictures of her sleeping in your pants on the couch! I think you have a real sweetheart there. She's very pretty. I've only seen babies before. I love the orange on her head.

Thanks! The owner of Parrot Island told me to go slow and push a little bit at a time. So I'm taking things very slowly. Doing things she will accept, like petting, but then brushing on her wings as I scratch her head so she gets used to me touching her. She's been pretty cooperative, but she's sleeping a bunch too. She was following me around the apartment, it's like she doesn't use her wings at all unless she is scared.

She seems to like company when she is eating. She was sitting on my shoulder eating her pellets really well, but she doesn't do well getting off of the shoulder so I think she will not be getting shoulder time for a while. At least until she is not so scared anymore. I also don't think she really got to go many places, I want her to get used to as many things as I can.

LOL Pois have a reputation for being the best at avoiding the shoulder exit. My Meyers can't visit hubby's shoulder anymore. For one, she fell in LOVE, for two he couldn't catch her at all!

Me, she's like, Yuck. So she sits on my shoulder as far away from me as she can get... and she's thrilled to get down LOL.
