Great Poi breeders that ship?

I am looking, at some point, to add either a Meyer's (1st choice) or a Red Bellied (2nd choice) to our flock, and I'm having a hard time finding a bird or a breeder in my area (Phoenix, AZ). A baby would be nice but I'm not ruling out a nice older bird. I would prefer, of course, to find a bird we could pick up and not have to ship, but willing to consider shipping for the right breeder/bird.

So, Poi parronts, tell me about your great breeders!

Check out BirdBreeders.com - Bird Breeders Directory of Availability and Parrot Breeders, I have seen a breeder that breeds Meyers in Southern California. Not too far from Phoenix.

I found here and have an email in to her. She is in San Diego County, not sure how far from the city of San Diego. We could make the drive there and back in a weekend. We'll see... :)

I got my Red Bellied Baby From Feathered Playpen And I had an Amazing experience dealing with them. I also was very nervous about having my baby shipped I really wanted to find one close enough to drive to also. But after a year of trying to find a Breeder close enough that DNA'd because I really wanted a male Red Bellied or Meyers. I was convinced by several members from by bird club to look further away because they all had good experiences with their birds that were shipped. I found Deb from Featheredplaypen.com She is in OHIO and I live in CT. We spoke on the phone and exchanged lots of e-mails with pictures as well about his growth and development his care/ food etc. My boy arrived at the airport in great condition weaned and well socialized already. That was back in June and he is such a great boy. So I had a very positive experience from a good Breeder that shipped. I know she has shipped Birds at least as far as Washington State. Good luck on your search But be sure to find a Breeder you feel the most comfortable with. That you feel you can talk to and will answer all your questions to your satisfaction.

interesting! Does your Arlo sleep in a sleep hut? Neither my Meyers nor my Senegal show any interest!
