Why Do Senegals GROWLLL???

I have 1 and he GROWLS :aiwebs_02 ... just at me!!! Why is this??? I cannot figure what triggers him to do this, but he only does it to me so far!! And I am the 1 whom he is most fond! It's very cute, but I dont know what he is signaling!
Anyone know what this is about? My other birds never did this!! :icon_eek:

My Sennie makes a growling sound also, but she learned hers from a grey at the vet!

Mine growls when she is snuggling with me. For her it seems to be a sign of contentment.

I don't have a senegal.... but my macaw growls all the time, and loves it when I growl with/back at her. It's a sign of contentment for her. She also has a (higher pitched) growl when she is angry or trying to get away with being mischevious and I catch her!

My 'Too doesn't growl, she hisses. She hisses when she's mad, or when she's happy. They are slightly different, but not much.

My jardine same family as your senegal growls all the time it means there happy or just plain playing rough with there toys :)
