Chaska in flight

She is beautiful in any case, but even more so in flight! I just wish I hadn't had her flight feathers trimmed.

She is expanding her diet too..........now she will eat corn, apple, grapes, sprouted mung beans and sometimes Kaytee pellets!

The breeder did it when I bought her. He didn't take a lot off, she can't get any altitude but can fly short distances at the same level-if that makes sense? As long as she stays tame, I will let her keep her flights when she grows them back. She probably won't moult until Sept or Oct.

Beautiful pics Tiki and Chaska is adorable.

I clipped both my quaker babies a few days ago. They had both fledged and the time had come for them to learn their manners. Especially my Quinn. He would just land right on any one's shoulder and grab hold of an ear and start wrestling. Plus he was landing on other bird's cage and my bluecrown had given him a warning by yanking Quinn's leg through the cage bars. Once they both learn manners I will try letting them fly again.
