My QP does not seem to like water at all. I have not noticed him drinking much and try to encourage him to take drops off my finger. I have a bowl in the cage, no interest. I tried to let him bathe in the sink and he just climbs away from the water. Is he just still adjusting? I have only had him a week.

I haven't tried the shower thing yet. Charlie usually wants a bathe twice a week. He will start slamming his water dish until I fill his bowl up for him. I put him in the sink a couple of times but he seems to like his bowl better. He's such a silly bird.

My husband takes our bird, Charlie, in the shower every chance he can and the bird loves the water falling in his face. He has a perch, but usually he just sits on his shoulder.

Elliot loves taking showers with his mom or dad! We have a shower caddy that sits over the shower head and that is what he perches on. Usually he just sits and enjoys the steam but sometimes he will splash around in the stream. Just be careful of how hot you have the water.

Our Sugar will put up with a shower, but usual enjoys bathing in either her bowl, or our YCA's water bowl [as it is bigger and she can climb rite on in and splish splash]. I'm surprised that our Sugar never was thrilled with showers, as she was loose on the streets for a few months before she flew into our lives and had natural showers. She was a young escapee from the pet trade and had worn the coloring off her black band.

I bring my quaker Zucha into the shower almost every day. She prefers, however, to bathe in the sink. She like to do all my morning rituals with me, and gets very upset if I'm in to much of a rush to spend all morning with her.

Thumbs up quaker in the shower

Yes, my quaker takes a shower about 4 times a week. He loves it.
