How often do Quakers lay eggs?

I need to know how often quakers lay eggs. Mine layed 3 about 3 months ago and she acts like she is getting ready to do it again. She gets very territorial and tries to bite more and won't let me touch anything in her cage when she is laying or sitting on eggs. now she is acting that way again. I just want to know how often this will happen. She has never been around a Male quaker but I think she would be a great mommy if I bred her.

My female Quaker has never layed eggs

I wish I could tell you but I have no idea. How old is your Quaker. My female Quaker has never layed eggs.

I'll call a friend tonight who breeds them. She is working now and I can't get a-hold of her. Remind me if I forget as I have shutters to put back up again, now, for oncoming Hurrricane Jeanne.

Send a message via Yahoo to Beaks
Eggs

it all depends on the bird, the availability of food, suitable enviornment and stimulation(you can cause your bird to lay if you stimulate your bird by petting under the wings, allowing your bird to rub on you"masturbate" etc.

Your bird may not lay again for 10 years but she may lay tomorrow You just dont know(if you want to really know turn your bird over and feel just above the pelvic bone, if you feel an egg then she is ready if not she's not)

John
