Where are quaker parakeets/parrots illegal?
I haven't seen this posted for sometime, so I thought I'd share this link. Not all of the Unites States will allow "ownership" of quakers! So before you adopt or purchase one, make sure you can keep it: Illegal and Restricted States

This is so important. The breeder I got my parrotlet from breeds Quakers and he has to stay on top of where he can ship the birds. Particularly in PA where they will euthanize. Great reference for all..thanks for posting.

i cant give you a list of states where they are illegal, but i can tell you they are NOT illegal in texas, but they ARE illegal in california.

Yep I was looking to get a Quaker but they are illegal here in Pennsylvania. We plan on moving south once my daughter is grown and will have to wait till then for a Quaker.
