gummy bears???

My quaker loves gummy bears. I'm afraid to give them to her. I'm afraid she will choke. but if I am eating them she tries to get them before I can get them to my mouth. If she can't she gets very frustrated and bites me really hard.I guess I will just make sure sheis not around when I eat them.

This sounds familiar... cept I think with maybe an amazon??? Not sure but could have read it in "The Parrot Who Owns Me" or somewhere else... too much going on to remember at the moment! Anyway, try to keep most sweets away from her! Silly bird!

Monica is right. Not only are they too high in sugar, but the gummy consistency could block the digestive passageways if they ate a big piece.

Why not try something like raisins or Cheerios with your bird? Still some sugar, but much less. And most Quakers like them a lot!
