I might be getting a quaker!

congratz! sounds like biting nails till you found out kiwi was yours! I know the feeling. finally FINALLY after searching EVERYWHERE (no one within 6 hours round here seams to have quakers) I found an older lady that has wayyy over a hundred birds.... so good with them too from what I can tell! she has a buddy that also raises birds and they help each other out.... I guess they have a good amount of income to take care of so many and have such a variety and keep them sooo clean and healthy! anyway... she has a pair of quakers!!! I'm soooo excited...... and now... just waiting to meet them and make arangments etc... she's asking 250 for the pair and 80 for a lovebird pair.... I seam to think 250 is a bit much but I may be wayyy off... ohh well... nuff bout my find.... I was excited to read about someone else being just as excited about getting a quaker! I too have been looking for as much info as possible on their habits. this older lady who's raised them for years now said.... dont be foold by what anyone says! they can be just as loud as the sun conures! she has both... and many others as well. so... just to give you the heads up. I guess it depends on the individule bird and their attitude and surroundings.

Congratz!!! I have heard a lot of cute stories about quakers and how smart and funny they are so im really really excited to bring Kiwi home!! I am also getting a love bird now because i have enough with the extra money from my check yesterday to buy her a cage! I am a little nervous about having 4 birds because of the noise. Hope the neighbors cant hear em!! ( we live in a condo) The noise doesnt bother me but ya know... Well i hope the pair of Quakers work out for u!! Let me know what happens!
