Unhappy I am so SAD!
Today I got an email telling me the baby Quaker I have been waiting for has died. I hadn't even seen a picture of him yet but I was sooooo looking forward to him coming home that I feel I have lost my pet.
I had named him Flip.
The breeder said his parents had more eggs they were sitting on and she thinks they let their existing babies starve to death.
So sad.

Thats aweful, I am so sorry. Hope you are able to find another one, even though it will not take his place in your heart. I am waiting on my baby so I know how attached you can get just waiting.

I am so very sorry. We waited 6 weeks for our baby to be weaned. from the moment we spoke to the breeder, in our hearts he was ours. I hope you can find another chick,
you will always love Flip, but a new baby will make you smile again.

I would choose another breeder. I dont understand. I check on babies daily in the box and if it looks like the parents are not feeding I would pull them and feed them. I dont understand why they wouldnt do the same.

I agree with huntress. Find a different breeder. They should of known the babies were not being fed. You may want to find a hand-fed one... It is much easier to take home a hand fed baby then spending a few weeks teaching them your hands are not evil..
