What a lovely and fasinating bird

Well I wasn't sure if I should do it but I took my quaker in to see the tiels. She is supposed to still be in quarentine. They had been talking(really screeching)back and forth for a few days now.I'm wondering if it maybe a boy. Both the tiels that are female started preening and trying to get the quakers attention.when I took her back to her cage she toned her Quaker swauck down to the tiel level. she really sounded like the tiels. when she was all alone in the living room I heard a noise and slowly came up the hall, peeked around the corner and she was saying something and would turn her head from side to side and listen. then about the 10th time out it came "pretty bird" just as plain as I would say.
these birds amaze me. I am so glad that I decided to take the 3 year old over the baby. I'm sure they will have no trouble selling the babies but I was not sure anyone would take and love the 3 year old. Well I'm glad I did and besides she picked me. Just wanted to tell you how well we are getting along. hugs to all

Hello

I totally agree, they are amasing birds. Mine are only 5 months old and have each picked up several words, some sentances and my laugh. They also understand a lot of what my husband and I say, and a lot of our body language etc. They are very intelligent and amasing creatures.

I hope they all continue to get along, it sounds like they will do fine!
Amy
