[b][i] :eusa_wall Why do people get a bird without checking into them first. you need to read up on a bird before you decide that you have to have one. I was in my local pet shop where I got my abandoned quaker and there was another 18 month old return. I felt so sorry for him. It is a boy and I really wanted to take it home but I have a girl and really don't want to raise babies. This laid on my heart so heavy that this was all I could think about. Well My best friend Loves my quaker and has been waiting for a baby quaker for sometime so I gave her a call. It took quite alot of convincing and begging but I went to get her and take her to see him. (Now I must say that people around here call me the bird lady because I can get any bird to come to me and be loving within a few minutes. It seems all birds just love me) Anyway when we got to the pet shop I got him out of his cage and he was cuddling and kissing me. I tried to get my friend Karen to hold him but she would not. She was convinced that she wanted a baby. We left the shop without the sweet quaker. I had decided that I couldn't stand it anymore and was going to go get him and bring him home. Karen went back with me to get him. when we got there the quaker came right to Karen and gave her kisses. :eusa_clap She fell in love instantly and paid for him.
(sorry this is so long but this is such a wonderful story) It has been 3 days and they are getting along wonderfully. I am so happy that the poor abandoned quaker found a loving forever home. :eusa_clap His name is now Kermit.

Tat was truly a happy ending. I just love my quaker sushi. I have never had so much fun or laughed so much with any other bird. Glad he found a great home. mela
