family, or one-person birds?
Are quakers generally OK with multiple people, or do they tend to turn into one-person birds? I've read both, and am curious which is more common. I realise pretty much any bird can turn into a one-person bird, but I always thought quakers were pretty flock-oriented, and did well in family environments. Now I'm hearing of them attacking anyone except their one chosen person.
Thanks! |

i think it depends on the individual bird.
crash chose the hubby instantly and laughs when given the opportunity to bite me he'll even let my toddler handle him and laugh bea, however, isnt like that and just loves the attention

I would say my Quaker is more of less a one person bird. She also seems to prefer men over women. She is a rescue bird and her original owner was a woman. She will nip at me occasionally to show dissatisfaction over something I am doing to her she doesn't like, but she will bite the heck out of my wife for no reason at all sometimes.

Charlie likes me and the BF. He prefers me over the BF because he is not around as much. He doesn't mind socializing when we have company either. My friends quaker loves her and her husband but doesn't like the daughter. I guess it just depends on the bird.
