I am SO excited right now tonight our little boy is walking all around the back of our couch and I *think* he may be mumbling or trying to talk
! Usually since we got him on Saturday the only noise he made was loud ear piercing squawks or beak grinding. Now tonight he's making small little noises to himself, it's nothing quite audible yet just little noises. Could this be the so called mumbling I hear so much about before they start to talk. Am I maybe jumping the gun thinking he's secure enough here to start talking? I want him to talk SO bad and I have been talking nonstop to him since we got him Saturday. I'm SO excited and I am trying to encourage his little noises as much as I can I tell him good boy and say "whatcha doing" and asking him if he's gonna talk for mommma.

Here he is on his "boring" stand. This is just the one we put on our end table or any type of table it doesn't have any toys on it but he doesn't spend much time on it (mainly he's on my shoulder). He has another one that does like toys but he likes his smaller one.
He'll be 3 in July, his name was Charlie but I renamed him Loki and he seems to like it and it seems to fit. Loki (if some don't know) is the god of Mischief and he sure is mischievious!

Most people call that Quaker cussing:) Both my Q girls do that as well as most others Q's.

My son, the one in the picture, is OBSESSED with trains so my father-in-law saves all the train magazines for him and they keep him entertained for awhile, which is amazing for a 2 year old that those magazines will keep him entertained for a couple days.
No talking yet and he seems to have cut down on his mumbling. I thought he was saying a few things but he hasn't spoke since I heard him the one time. Just loud squawking and very soft squawking. |

Just keep interacting with him. My quaker talks whenever he feels like it. Give him time.

It's like waiting for my child to say his first word. I'm so excited. I call my husband everyday at work to see if he's said anything. He doesn't need to talk to have me completely in love with him (too late I already am) I just want to know what his sweet little voice sounds like.
