Perhaps you should revert to handfeeding until you know that he is eating enough. How do you know that he is weaned? Did the breeder tell you he is weaned? Sometimes they will revert to being unweaned when moved from the breeder to the caregiver's home due to stress.
They will usually lose about 10% of their body weight when they are getting ready to fledge. 20 grams seems like an awfully lot to me. If you don't want to do hand feedings then perhaps some warm monkey bisquits soaked in apple juice will be a good comfort transitioning food. And you can be sure he is getting enough. Good luck, and keep us posted!
