New to Board

Hello, I am new to birdboard.com and I am glade I found it. Yesterday i put a deposit on a baby Quaker and need to get a cage asap and I can't decide what cage purchase. I was thinking of getting a "first" cage until i can decide on the exact right cage for my home. I would was the "first" cage as a travel and/or boarding cage when I travel. I was considering the large and Tall Vision cage. The specs are: 29.5” X 15” X 38.5. What is concerning me is the depth of 15". I know the smallest cage you should get for a Quaker is 18x18. Can someome help me with this? I need to order something today. My other concern is assembly. These cages look pretty easy to put together. I was looking at the HQ cage in pet solutions. It is bigger, but I don't know if I can put it together.

Thank you. I thought the Vision cage was too small. I ordered the HQ 13221 Flight Cage from Birdscomfort.com. It has gotten nice reviews on this forum. Hopefully I can put it together.

Thats a really nice cage! I dont think you even have to use that one as a "first" cage, you could just stick with it! I have one thats *very* similar for my GCC, and its an awesome cage! Very roomy.

Thank you. I love how you have your cage set-up. In next couple of weeks hopefully I will have pictures soon and will post. I just also ordered something called a Jolly Ball. Its a bird hut for the bird to sleep in. I ordered the plain version b/c they are expensive and i can add my own attachments later. Setting up a happy home for a bird is very expensive!
