Nah we don't live together but we stay at eachothers houses a few nights a week. Both at our parents houses cos he is in uni studying to be a primary school sport teacher and I refuse to rent cos i want a house of my own and at the moment with the bloody interest rates i dunno when that will be. I am doing reception at an X-ray and ultrasound place until i get at least 2 years working here cos then i can work for the specialists and they pay receptionists heaps more. Did a little course to get into medical reception so yeah. After here though i am going to see if i can do something to do with animals cos at least i will have this to fall back on.

Yep leaving at 8:30 Qld time which will be 9:30 NSW time...might leave earlier then...maybe 8 cos she lives in NSW..i dunno we will see but it will be 8:30 at the latest. I know it has been so long! I actually was lurking around this board while finding info on which bird i should get. Finally decided to join a few days after deciding and making sure i get one. Think i joined some time in december. Been waiting since mid december. FINALLY!!!

I am a firm believer in not petting Tawheed if he doesn't want to be. After five years he is finally comfortable with me "petting" him.
Like your bird- he takes off as soon as the treat was done. So I got his favorite mirror and sat down with him on my chest. As he is 'admiring' himself in the mirror as he perched on my finger- then I began to touch him- then stroke- then scritch. it took a long time.
Somedays he wants it and other days he doesn't... ha ha kind of like me with my hubby!
I always chuckle and know exactly what he wants when he comes running to me with the mirror in his beak!

lol kathy thats so funny!! they are such funny birds arent they.. well it was funny yesterday he went for a check up at the vet and the little bugger let the vet pat him all over scritches and all lift his wings up lol.. bonus was he let me pat him when we got back into the car as well lol.... i still love the image of your bird with the mirror in his beak lol
