you should see what my male devil is like. I swear that he was tame at one point, hes NOT scared. Poor little Mustard is, but Relish, ohh, hes dive-bombed my face! Are either of your pair tame, or are they scardey cats too?
Sorry, I'm no help, just.. wanted to share. My birds always want my fiancee, but he doesn't want them. Poor babies, they'll preen him, and he ignores them. I think the key to his success, he ignores them, and feeds them in the morning. Have him feed one of the meals/day... like, just give enough food in the AM to hold out til 5pm, then have him give them a nice treaty/healthy meal.

Rascal is the same way. He only likes me. He will attack other people. I cannot bring him out of the cage around others. He is very possessive over me.
When I am on the computer and if I have computer problems my dad comes over and fixes it. Well when Rascal is out he loves to sit on my desk and the back of my chair. I had Rascal out when my dad was on the computer and he lunges at my dad and started attacking the back of his head. In a way it was funny. So your not the only one. I just look at it this way, your bird loves you and he is saying that he is all yours but your poor husband. Rascal is a biter as well. I do think this is a natural ringneck behavior. They are very independent and if not hand raised from birth they are nutso. Rascal was hand raised by the breeder I got him from and was "his" pet bird but became such a huge breeder that he was thrown back in with the other ringnecks and regressed. So all in all I think your ringneck is just being a ringneck lol. It will be tough to break him from that.
