Ace my new IRN

Hello everyone!

I am new to the board and new to Indian Ringnecks!

We picked up Ace from Newark Airport on Friday night. A month ago I did a search for IRN breeders and came across a picture of just the cutest boy! The breeder is a small breeder out of Alabama and it was just a great experience! He sent me updated pictures every week for the entire month.

Ace is getting used to us and we are looking forward to learning more about him! He is a little nervous of my daughter (who is 2 so she doesn't want to touch him but stand there at his cage saying "hello bird!"). He also isn't too sure about my little dog Mya but I am sure they will get used to eachother eventually.

Here are the last pictures that the breeder took and one picture I took yesterday! I thought he was going to be gray but he is a light blue also, which I love! Such a pretty boy!

Welcome to birdboard and ACE is a cutie! What a doll!
I am owned by two IRN's Scarley my Luntion female who is six and Ringo, unsexed blue baby about a year old. I've had Ringo for 2 months & as we call him, HE is still getting use to us.

I hope ACE will be a better baby than my Scarley...but she's a doll baby now. She use to be my demonic bird. And you will I refer to her as moody bipolar pitbull agressive yellow feather duster,,,means she's been a BAAAAD GIRL!

You will love it here...keep sharing photos and updates!

Thank you! He is such a sweet bird already, but I am prepared for whatever he throws me (well I most likely wont be prepared, but we will get through it haha).

Here are some more pictures I took of him this morning!

Great looking bird. I am still working on my ARN. Sometimes he steps up and sometimes he won't. He's coming around though. Be sure to work with yours on a daily basis.

Thank you everyone!

Does this type of bird typically have issues with stepping up? To be honest with you I over-looked the fact that he was stepping up. I know the breeder has worked with him, he obviously has had alot of time put into him. He is very well adjusted and has already tried to jump onto my dogs back a few times Luckily my dog is very timid and wouldn't hurt a fly but they will always be supervised when out together.
