Bird show today - two new members of the family

Well, my wife, daughter, and myself went to a local show today. With plans to just buy supplies They had a raffle and had tons of prizes including some birds. My daughter placed a few tickets into the bags for a couple of birds. The rest of the tickets went for drawings on supplies. Well, we didn't win any birds, but got some nice supples.

Well the raffle was going on we started talking to a nice couple. They won a cockatiel. They were concerned that their cockatoo wouldn't accept it. Turns out their too is easily stressed. The next thing I know they offered it to us. After discussing it, we decided we would take it. We swapped phone numbers in case they change their mind or something unforeseen happens on our end. Next thing I know we have a new member of the family. I have to laugh about it.

Next story, same show.
The breeder that I got our African Ringneck from is at the show. I explained Bingo is pretty aggressive and likes to draw blood. The husband tells the wife and she felt really bad that he is so aggressive. I explained that I still love him and if turns out to be a bird that I only get to have minimal contact with I am ok with that. I love to watch him play. He's just beautiful. As it, turns out they still have the sibling of Bingo. This one is nippy , but doesn't draw blood. Next thing I know they offer him to me for free. They had to drop his price due to him being nippy and they felt bad that mine was drawing blood and cost more. I thought they were kidding, but they wanted him to go to someone would work with him and/or except him for how he is. I didn't hesitant. So, no we have two ARN's.

And I just went for supplies...

I guess you will really need to buy more supplies now.

Congratulations and have a lot of fun with all of them. I hope the biting/nipping gets easier. They are such beautiful birds.

Cockatiels are great birds. Is this one tame?

I'll get pictures up as soon as I can. As for the cockatiel being tame. It will let me put my hand in the cage and doesn't panic, but steps away from me. So I am thinking it was tame, but hasn't been handle often.
