Is she molting? Mine look pretty beat up right now, but I know they will be better when their feathers grow in. A good diet, exercise and light are probably the things she needs most (and love, but she obviously has that). Keep reading in this forum and other sources and I am sure she will come around -- it takes a little while for them to show an improvement. Congrats on your new baby!

A good qualitiy pellet should be available at all times, as well as seed, fresh fruits and veggies, and healthy human foods. Please research what is not safe for them to eat.

You will need a good sized cage, I cage my ringneck in an African Grey sized cage. They are very smart and will learn to open doors, so get one that locks.

You will need lots of toys for her to chew up and destroy.

Go to Indian Ringneck.com for more care tips and remember to ask lots of questions!!

Like the others say, it may be due to molting or diet related. Just make sure your baby is on a good diet and the feathers should start looking better, especially after the next molt.

I would love to see pictures, even if she is a little "rough" !
