We got our new ringneck goliath a few days ago and she seemed happy sitting on our hand now she as started to bite really hard. Why is she doing this now ? is it because she is justing seeing how far to go or have we done something to upset her.

Is she drawing blood or beaking your hand? Young birds don't know how much strength to put behind their beaks, and sometimes will put too much.

Is she happy in other ways?

Is she pinning her eyes and bobbing up and down right before a "bite"? If so, then something may be upsetting her.

I woudn't conciter that a bite then. That would be more of a beaking situation. She is exploring your hand and seeing how stable you will be when she does things like that. You can divert her attention to more approved chew toys, but she isn't trying to harm you. Trust me, when a ringneck wants to really bite, you will know.
