New addition (pics)

I thought I would share a little information and pictures of my new addition. Anyway, I got a new little one about 2 weeks ago and she is doing wonderful. The sex is unknown, but I am calling it a she - it just come natural for me to say she rather then he. Anyway, she is a 4 month old albino.

A little info: I was actually looking for only an albino, I just love the albino's and always wanted one, so I decided to look for an albino. I had my choice between 4 different albino's - 3 of them were hand fed babies, but gone wild after weaning, so they needed work and there was a very sweet young baby still being hand fed. I decided on one of the wild ones and I couldn't be happier.

She is doing wonderful and has made excellent progress in just 2 weeks time. When I got her she had to be toweled as she was not very nice. Now - there is no towel, she gets scratches from me, lets me kiss her, pick her up, put her on her back, she steps up, hangs out on my shoulder, eats from my hand, etc. Even though she does all this stuff we still have a long way to go as she is still very timid, but I believe she will be a sweetie pie in no time. I am very happy with her and just adore her.

I have named her "Chance" as I went ahead and took a chance with her instead of getting an already tame baby. I don't know what it was, but something about her made me know she was the one for me.

OMG ! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BABY! You can pack her up and send her to Georgia! hehehehe I now want a White & a Gray IRN! I have a yellow and a turquoise. She is beautiful!

My lutino Scarley was and is a handful. I got her 4 years ago this month for my birthday. She was 2 yrs old then. When I joined birdboard 2 1/2 yrs ago I was ready to give up on her. But I am glad she and I stuck it out! We still have bad days, but let me tell you, those good days, she's a dream! She runs errans with me when I'm off, she helps me clean house, helps me fix her dish and Ringo's dish. She's my baby and my demon at the same time. I love her soooooo much and would NEVER think of giving her away or selling her.

Red: That is wonderful, it sounds like you and Scarley are buds for life and have come along way in your time together. I also had a lutino female which was a Birthday present for me, but sadly she passed away last summer. It was very sad as I loved her and she was still so young. Albino's and Lutino's were always my favorite - Lutino's as yellow is my favorite and albino's as I think they look so striking all white with a bright red beak.

Indian Ringnecks are my favorite of all the species and there are always good and bad times with them I have just grown so fond of them over the years and despite all the bad things that have stolen my heart. I am hoping to get another ringneck possibly this winter and it most likely will be a Lutino. I just love the Lutino's - by the way I just love seeing pictures of Scarley - she is a funny girl.

I came across the IRN's by accident. I'm in love now. LOL I was in the market for another sun conure and the breeder didn't have any, but she said, "I do have this beautiful Ringneck..." And I put a deposit on her w/o ever seeing her. She lived in Atlanta and I'm 2 hours away. Took my finally payment up there and brought the noise box home. LOL

Yesterday, after it cooled off down here (if that is possible) I took her and my doxie walking out behind the house in a huge grassy field. The cat came with us who kept tackling the doxie. It was funny, I would laugh and Scarley would mock my laugh. but Scarley would run from one shoulder to the other and whistle like I do to call Scarlet the dog back in, and my dog would stop and turn around looking at me like WHAT?! YOU"RE OUT HERE TOO!" lol

Chance is so pretty. Thank you for sharing the pictures. I hope she gives you at least half of the stories Red has been able to share with us about her Scarley.
