Maybe I DON'T have a moustache ????
Ok, Lilly is at least 6 months old and still has the same coloring (green) she did when I brought her home, she has never had a red beak, in fact it is just getting darker and darker.
She doesn't have any of the coloring I see other's having, I know someone said after first molt but everone else's that I see has a red/orange beak. (????????????) ![]() |

Yep. The orance beak is associated with a male as well as some of the more vibrant coloring.
As your baby molts, the feathers will become more vibrant and shiny looking. This is normal for most of the ringneck species. The babies feathers are not as shiny but will become that way if fed a good diet and as they molt into adult feathers.
