Unhappy Poor, poor Helio! (Rough molt w/pics)

Oh, my poor, poor Helio! He is having a heck of a molt! I've never seen him looking so rough. Amazingly enough, his mood isn't bad... pretty much the same well-behaved Helio, just a bit uncomfortable, and a little rough around the edges, lol.

Here's my beautiful boy, molting:

Lookie, lookie! You can see more of that long awaited ring coming in...

I've never seen him looking so "bumpy"

His wittle head is making him look part porcupine!

This is how smooth my Helio usually looks:

Poor Helio. At least he is being a good sport about it. Wish I could say the same for mine. They are both going through a molt and wanna be ugly about it. LOL

Just think of how beautiful he will be when the new shiny feathers come in. It is a natural and healthy thing to moult. How old is Helio exactly?

Egads, poor baby. Someone somewhere once entitled a thread about a similar kind of moult as "EEEEEEEK, the bird is falling apart" lol.

Poor Baby! My guys are going through a molt again! I don't think that some of them ever got through the first. Crazy weather has to be doing it.

Your Helio seems to more on the green and yellow side of the turquoise in the pics - my Maverick is the green and blue.
Funny how different in coloring they can all be.
Just think pretty soon he will look like this....

Ya know what stupid me didn't look at the pictures right - he looks like Mav.
It must be the molt that got me confused or maybe the color of my hair....
