Feeling bittersweet... Helio's ring is coming in.

Hi all. I know I should be ecstatic that Helio's ring is finally coming in, however, I'm feeling bittersweet about it...
My lovely Helio will NEVER look the same again
My baby is looking like an all grown-up adult birdie-boy
He had such soft, sweet features before, and now with the ring & the "uni-brow" coming in, he looks so grown
up and as though he has such chiseled features.

Ho-humm. My baby is a big boy now... still one of the most handsome and well behaved ringies I know.

I just love the shade of blue his eyes are... like a cornflower blue, somedays they're almost a periwinkle.

Sorry for the overly busy background (my shower curtain) but the boys were flying their airhogs in the living
room, so that certainly was not an option, lol.

Can anyone tell by these pics if they think his beak needs trimming?
(Yes, I KNOW his nails are due, lol)

~Thanks~

Is he molting right now? If "yes" I would wait until he is done to have his beak filed back. Give him lots of corn... theres an enzyme in the corn that is really good for them when they are molting (especially heavily) especially for flaky beaks. He looks great. He has some really pretty hues of color to him especially in the third picture.

Hello! Yes, my poor little boo is going through a really rough molt. He looks like heck, however is acting just fine!

Thanks so much for the corn tip... I never knew that! Good to know.

Yes, his coloring is amazing... I am a very lucky parront to have this little fella.

Aww.. he's very handsome! I didn't think it would bother me that Rayne was turning a year old. She didn't even change her looks..but it was still a little tough to swallow! Time just flew by... You have such gorgeous birds! I'm sure after some time, you'll adjust to his new looks and age. I know I've started to get used to Rayne being not just 'months' old anymore. I know I wasn't bothered like that when my dogs reached a year...

Awww, what a cutie. He might be growing in his ring, but he'll always be your baby!

Aww..... look at the cute widdle baby.......

He is so pretty!

His beak actually looks fine in terms of length - maube just a little file on the end to dull the sharpness...

When do they not need to have their nails done is a better question... LOL
I swear they are alwys needing those needles trimmed!
