Wild Indian Ringnecked Parrots on the shores of The Sea of Gallilee

I have just returned from a few days away from home on the shores of the Sea of Gallilee, in the city of Tiberius. The Sea of Gallilee is not actually a Sea at all but a Lake also known as the Kinneret. It is a sweet water lake surrounded by natural hot springs , flora and fauna. While reurning from an antiquities site where there is an on going arcahelogical dig, My husband and I heard the call of a most familiar bird, the IRN,as we looked towards the sky we noticed a few of them fluttering about from tree to tree munching away eagerly at abundant fruits. I snapped a few pictures before they flew off and have cropped to bring a little closer their features. These trees are tall and we were quite a distance away, so the photos might not show as much detail as a closely taken photo. Here is a blue male on a date tree.

Nice to see the photos! Lots of luscious looking palm fruits for them to eat.
