It's Bath Time !!!

Since the climate here is hot just about all year round with very high humidity and my birds get jealous of us going swimming all the time, they create their own time to swim, usually after their mod morning snack. At times they push and shove like any bunch of kids. (FIDS)

So cute! I for some reason always pictured it being very dry heat in Israel, gosh humid and hot just like Florida! It has been mid 90s all week and so humid I cannot even stand it. I am out in the yard dying wood and I have to go jump in the sprinkler every few minutes.

Only in the south in The Negev Desert is it dry and arid. There it feels like you are walking in space, in the coastal areas, it is like get in the shower and as you get out you feel like you need to take a shower. It has been 35+ degrees celcius this past week which is approximately 95+ Farenheit
Today during a walk we saw a cute tiny little bird, the picture is not to good but I will post it later .

I love it! Look at all those ringies enjoying their bath!
I might have to try that with my guys since they are going on to water bottles - no more water dish dips anymore.
They aren't fond of the mister except for a few.


Are those young birds or females?
How many ringies do you have? I thought i had a lot but obviously not to you! LOL

The birds enjoy both Spritz bottle and bath, they go really wild and attach themselves to the front of the aviary to get soaked when it rains or the hose is on. I have 13 in all 10 green 3 blue, of the young green birds three which were hatched this past spring one is definitely male he is doing the strut the males do during wooing season, shoulders back, chest out front, long strides and a hop. With wings held back in a heart shape the stretching from side to side and the sway to attract the female. The baby blue hatched also this spring might be a male but in another month he will show the signs of being either male or female. Glad you enjoyed the clip, I will have to be patient and catch the mating and wooing on film to post.

LOL I get the mating and wooing in person at home. It is really funny when all the boys run over to one of the girls only to have a charging bull running at them.
