I heard a familiar sound this morning...
This morning on my way to a medical appointment, I heard a familiar sound......again....this is the shop where we purchased our female blue IRN Princess....sitting in a cage a beautiful looking, healthy looking, except for some tail feathers that were picked on by other birds no doubt just as mine pick on each others tail feathers. A YELLOW Female IRN two years old. I think I just may go back and get her the day after tomorrow. To see if she'd respond to me in a favourable way, I offered her a date through the bars of the cage and she accepted it and munched down on it whole heartedly......Yes, indeed, I think I may just go back and get her.......Then I will have to get a Yellow male as well.......Time will tell.

I am almost convinced that I will get her, I will visit her again tomorrow and decide the day after next. I want to see how she reacts to me the next time I bring her a treat. I also have to prepare my spare carry cage to keep her away from the others even though she will be in the aviary addition, so that they become accustomed to her joining in. Only after two days of this adjustment I will release her into the addition to get the feel of being more or less free to interact with the others. After a one week period I would allow her to join the rest of the flock and open the inner door to the addition for complete freedom. That is the plan if I DECIDE TO GET HER!!! I am almost certain I will.......
