Doves....

Well I didn't end up with a Timneh African Grey, but more of an African Grey Morning Dove. A cat totaled the poor thing's tail, and it had noway to get airborne. Well I felt bad, and managed to get a hold of him. I had my tiel's old travel still, and placed him there with a nice cup of cockatiel seed...he/she's eating, and seemed happy to have seed all to itself. Anything more I should know about dove care till this lovely bird can be free as a dove again?

they sale a dove diet. I used to get it from a feed store. but i think Tractor Supply Company might have some. (although they sell feed too).

A little late to post but if you still have your dove, they love cooked corn.
Frozen, nooked in the microwave is great. They also make a dove seed, specifically for doves but if you don't find any, the Macaw Seed is great. Doves are wonderful and sound so pretty. Very sweet of you to rescue him.
