That's wonderful progress! The next step is having her take the grapes while she's outside of her cage. But I gotta tell you, that beak scares me more than a macaw's beak!

oh no, you shouldnt be scared of her beak, all she can really do is peck at you. when i first got her, she got my finger and was clamping down, didnt really hurt. she did peck at me and break my skin, but she just got a bad spot, it was right at my cuticle where my nail meets my skin, so its real soft and sensitive there. a macaw beak could do much more damage.

she does take grapes from me when shes out of the cage. i just have to get her to come to me to take them, instead of me coming to her. shes settling right in, she jumps on the floor, on the bed and hops around to explore. she was parent reared, so we just have to work with her a little bit, and in time she will be tame. she will let me come wtihin a foot or less of her before she flies off, so shes come a long way already. she wouldnt even want us more than 3-4ft away from her, and now its down to less than a foot, so we are making quick progress. i just cant wait until she finally snuggles up to me :D
