Quails

Hopefully we'll be getting some more quails soon. My only problem now is whether to get them from a breeder, or save them from the pet shop that keeps them in very small cages. If i was to get them from the pet shop i would be supporting them and encourageing them to buy more but at the same time i want to give those quails a much better life.

So what do you think, pet shop or no?

I'd say go with a breeder.
The breeder is probably selling to a pet shop though...????

ask the breeders if they sell to pet shops, and also ask the pet store which breeder they get thier birds from....they should give you honest answers. i think i would try to get the quails from someone who took good care of them...i think it would encourage that good person. its very sad to see birds in tiny cages, but like yall said, you dont wanna encourage them to get more. maybe you can talk to the manager and/or owner about getting them into bigger spaces??
