Chukar Partridge

I was just wondering if anyone has or does keep Chukar Partridges??

I had them for 3 years, wonderful birds if you can deal with their rather agressive nature towards other fowl and eachother.
I gave up after I wasn't able to introduce new blood into my flock. They were so agressive they killed any new bird I tried to introduce. Even if I seperate 1 bird of the group and introduce it to the new bird by itself in a dif. enclosure it didn't end well.

They can be nasty.

yes, i have read, i was goin to introduce a pair into an aviary with a pair of kakarikies, which are already in there
are trio's better??

Have in the past, not currently. Fun birds to keep, as are all members of Alectoris. Have seen many "feral" birds here in Missouri, escapes from hunting reserves no doubt. gbwf.org page on partridge & francolin - gbwf.org, Francolin & Partridge - Aviculture and Conservation
