Diamond Dove

I am going to begin raising Diamon Doves. Does anyone else here have these? I've been reading that they are good, easy breeders. Is this true?

these birds were the first birds i ever bred. Diamond doves are perfect doves; easy breeding, not a fussy eater, not messy, small, pretty, and for doves they are prettty tame. I keep the silver mutation now, wich is a lighter shade, which in my opinion, even more attractive. Tombstone, i would highly recomend these birds to you.
I wont say anymore, but i know many other people will post as well

I love diamond doves! I have 2 breeding pairs, who currently have a total of 3 babies. Once they start breeding, they never stop! Well, sometimes they go on "break", which lasts a couple months.
The only problems I've had with mine is that they kick newborn babies out of the nest for no apparent reason. So if I were you, I'd keep an eye on any babies!
I have one baby diamond dove that is SUPER tame! She was parent-raised, fell out of the nest a little too early, and one of my button quails bit of the tips of her toes... But she's the sweetest aviary bird I have, and will sit wherever I place her! I can just reach into the aviary and pluck her out, and she doesn't care one bit.

how can you tell the differences between male and female and how do you know you have a pair

I'd love to see pictures because I've always thought Diamon Doves were beautiful. I've read that people keep them in mixed aviaries with finches and that they get along pretty well with them.

sexing is a bit difficult, but if a careful eye is used you can usually tell. Females have a smaller orbital ring than males, and have less spots, females are sometimes more brown than males
