Mama Guinea with two chicks
Here are some pictures of our mama guinea with two chicks she hatched all by herself. I was worried that I hadn't been seeing as much of her, then a few weeks ago, she waddled into the yard with these two babies walking with her. Aren't they cute?
The last picture also has the daddy behind them; he's not really that much bigger that she is, just closer to the camera. It's always funny to see what people who visit thinks the guineas are. Pheasants, deformed peacocks, and one even thought it was a baby emu! Not kidding, and it was hard to keep a straight face on that one. |

Keets are soo much cuter then their adult counter parts. One of my guinea hens hatched 27 keets at once one summer, I thought I wasn't counting right when I pulled one keet after another out from under her.
Looks like both of your keets will be nice little pearl pieds! Love the watchful look of your male there. |
