Were peafowl sleep.

This is where Shadow and Stormy sleep at night - and sometimes they dont come down until 8 am or so. I now find them sitting on the back step waiting for the parrot scraps for breakfast!

They like to get Waaaaaaaaaayyy up there!!

That is great! Do they usually stay in the same tree now?

Yeah, pretty much same area. During the day they sun on the roof of the house or a vehicle or if its a cold wind - in the tall grass beside the barn. In the evening and morning they get on the front porch railing and look in the windows, lol.

you know - its really hard to get stuff done, I stop and stare at them so much. Even my husband. In the morning light up the hill he is bright teal. during the day he is vivid electric blue and in the evening light he is purple. Its truley a work of Gods great art!
I found out today they are not afraid of hawks at all and hawks pay them no mind but they sure do tell me when one is near!!

It is good to know that you have to worry about one less predator.

It has been so interesting to hear how this relationship has developed. I would guess they will stick close to home now that they've made the connection between you and breakfast.

Lori,

I had a breeder friend that keep a male loose outside his house to keep the hawks away, it slept on the roof at night. He told me that the hawks would dive bomb the aviaries until he got the peafowl. I don't know if this is true to all of them cause I've never looked it up. Is it, do you know?
