Unhappy Peafowl on walkabout agin

Dang. They have been gone now (today starts the sixth day). They were spotted tow days ago crossing the road about a half mile away. I miss them and worry about Turkey season starting soon. Hope some moron doesnt shoot them. Wonder why they do this? Is it like the native american and australian people?? Do they need to grow? lol

Today was seven days. Im really sad again. I had to step over some poo on the front porch - I kicked it off and realized how much I miss having him (shadow) mysteriously appear behind you when you out doing stuff and you havent seen them all morning. or how you feel someone is watching you and you look up and he is staring at you through the front window from the porch railing.

I dunno, its eight days today..........Im really down about it....tomorrow is the ninth day. Last time they came home on the ninth day. I have played the cd for half hour increments two times a day the last few days. Im going to play it one more time tonight I think. I have to work tomorrow. I have kept food out. They seemed so content here. I miss seeing them on my Jeep hood. Shadow liked to lay on there and look at himself for hours in the windsheild.

I never planned on keeping them caged. They would never be happy. I should have started with eggs. Most people keep them as they would free ranging chickens. I haven left sammiches out due to the soaking rain we have been having and my dogs would just scarf them up anyhoo. I have been keeping there feeders full and dumping out the parrot leftovers they love. I have played the cd some but the rain isnt helping there either. I think they may have been killed or captured. I should have never added that third hen.
