white homing pigeon has brought home a friend

So I have a fairly large aviary in my back yard with right now just white doves and ringneck doves. I aquired to white homing pigeons but they just picked on the doves all the time.
So I released them outside and one of them decided to stay around. He just sits up on top of the cage or right down below and roams around. He occasionally takes a flight. I let him out of the aviary about 3 months ago.

About two weeks ago, my little sisters started noticing another pigeon near the aviary. what do you know? Big bird(my white homing pigeon) has found a friend and brought her back to the aviary.

So for about a week or two, he has brought home two more of these dark colored homing pigeons.

It's quite amusing to see he has found a friend to bring back.

just thought I'd share.

I had this happen many years ago when I was a kid. We'd let ours and his wild mate out every morning and they'd come back every evening. One day our guy got sick, the wild one would still go out and come back every evening to him. The day he dies we let her out and never saw her again.

I haven't thought about that story for years. Still strikes me as being this wonderfully romantic thing that happened between these 2 birds. She stuck around until the end.

I think you'll find your guys will stick around and as long as all is good the wild ones will too. Could be a bit of a nightmare if you end up with the whole local flock though.
