I Never Knew They Could Talk!

I never knew Starlings could talk...and so well, too! This one's well in the parrot's league.

Oh yes, there are quite a few softbills that can talk, like crows and Mynahs and I think just about any crow type bird can. I bet mockingbirds could too.

That is just too cool, thanks for those links! I don't know why, but finding out they can talk and then listening to them brightens my day. I think it's just because it's something I never expected to be possible, and then there it is! And it isn't as though they're rare, mysterious creatures that we wouldn't know much about, but common softbills...maybe it's the realization that there are still so many amazing things to learn, even with creatures we see on a regular basis.

starlings are cool but creepy sounding.they also sound like very good talkers to me...

Heh, I loved the chainsaw noises that lyre bird was repeating. :p

I have to admit...there was something creepy about the talking dogs and cats...neat, but creepy.
