Communication problems on the board

First of all, let me say that Keev is not this big bad wolf that wants to blow all of our houses away - he is a human just like the rest of us.
When the rules were posted, they were a "copy and paste" from our last forum. The rules were not read or reviewed, and certainly weren't put into place to target anyone.
Kevin and I have discussed this entire situation; rather than getting our feathers ruffled, why not pm him and let him know our concerns? I know that most of you feel that he doesn't read your pm's because he doesn't respond. I have felt that way myself, and therefore have stopped "bothering" him. However, Kevin does read our pm's and takes into account what we say, he just doesn't take the time to respond. From now on he will respond to each and every one of us.
The rules have been pulled down for re-wording and clarification, after the bird was in an uproar. Had this been addressed privately none of us would have felt that Kevin was being a butthole!
I love this board, and want to watch it succeed and be the best board the internet has to offer. We need to learn to communicate with the boss, who makes it all possible. This is a free board to us all, and I would hate to see it all lost because we can't talk to the "boss" - he doesn't bite, from what Tiki tells me!
I love Yehuda and hope that he can understand the misunderstanding...... why would we want to see such a valuable member of this board leave?

Yeah, well said Laurie! I did meet Keev personally in LA when I was there and he really is a sweetie in person who loves this board and wants it to succeed. He has been keeping it afloat himself, he doesn't make a cent off it. You will see an interview I did with him last Nov about behind the scenes at BB, it will be in the next newsletter.

This is all one big misunderstanding and should have been worked out by PM. When anyone PM's me with a board issue, I take it to the mod forum for discussion amongst fellow mods unless it is just a quick answer to an easy question. All the mods do the same to be sure we all act in the best interests of the board. I am at a time zone disadvantage so I am sometimes late in answering, I am usually asleep or at work when the board is most active.

I'll second the sentiment, I certainly took the whole thing out of context. If Keev was that crazy on rules I'd be long gone for cross listing. I didn't realize I couldn't double post and put updates on my baby GW on macaw talk and bird talk for 5 weeks in a row before reading the rule saying don't.
